To feel is to be fully alive. And yet for many of us, feeling has been framed as a liability. We were taught that emotion is messy, unpredictable, unsafe. We learned to downplay our grief, hide our anger, and apologise for our joy. Somewhere along the line, we internalised the message that too much feeling would make us unlovable—or worse, unsafe. The Core of Feeling sits in this tender terrain: between numbness and overwhelm, between suppression and expression, between the body's desire to feel and the nervous system's fear of what that might unleash. To enter this Core is not simply to welcome emotion back into your life. It is to reclaim your body as a place where nothing needs to be muted to be loved.

This Core lives in the pelvis, the hips, the low belly—the places where emotion meets instinct, where creativity meets sensuality, where pleasure meets pain. When the Core of Feeling is out of balance, you may find yourself emotionally flat, unable to cry, love, laugh, or desire. Or you may swing between extremes, feeling flooded one moment and disconnected the next. The goal here is not control. The goal is intimacy. To sit with the wave instead of running from it. To breathe through the fire instead of freezing in it. This is the Core that teaches you: you are not too much. You are just unmet.
